The customer is a famed automobile dealer of a global car brand operating multiple locations and handling large volume of customers than its peers. The management team started noting the drop in customer experience due to disrupted operations due to multitude of reasons.
NudgeNext started to architect their IT ecosystem adapting to their business context with a focus on 2 major themes- Security and Network stability. The roll out across all their branches changed how the automobile dealer team viewed IT- a true enabler. As a testimony, NudgeNext operates these locations till date
Famed automobile franchisee of global car brand
Spread across 5 towns and cities in coastal India with over 12 locations and 600 employees
Poor stability of car brand’s application and unsecure end points led to billing & service disruptions hurting customers
Zero billing disruptions due to network issues, zero malware attacks, 24×7 availability of applications and DR for business data
The automobile retailing calls for variety of customer touch-points- pre-sales, sales, after sales service, resale to both passenger and commercial vehicle segment to be fast and streamlined to ensure customer loyalty
The network segregation required for car brand’s applications, the poor security of PCs meant disconnected systems, manual changeovers and frequent halted operations everyday
Scope of Work: WiFi, Local storage, POS, PCs, Digital Signage, Car brand applications, Attendance, VoIP, VPN, Perimeter security, CCTV
The absence of any serious IT infrastructure meant the 10 minute “daily niggles” escalated quickly to 3-4 hours at the customer end due to higher volume of business
This started leading to a serious reputational damage
The “minor niggles” continued to be managed by the internal teams until their volume grew with a steady growth in business
Then came a day when the business operations came to a halt at their HO due to malware and adware infections across all user devices and this was out of bounds for the internal team
The promoters of the business roped in NudgeNext to build an IT ecosystem ground up for automobile business, with the business group having tasted success with NudgeNext across their other business vertical
Adapting to the business context, NudgeNext followed a value for money approach while ensuring
Enterprise readiness of the solution
As an emergency measure, the end devices were isolated, cleaned up and reconfigured. The network
of the car brand was made accessible partially as a stop gap solution
The IT architect worked with the operations and senior management team to ensure a design that is future ready for automobile.
Dealer compliance: The network of the Car brand was routed alongside the internal dealer’s network in one of its kind solution- a case in point underlining the approach of fundamentals
Central control and visibility: An enterprise domain controller was introduced for identity, access management and software distribution
Security: This was approached in an integrated manner with focus on end point security for PCs, Perimeter security and Network security. This ensured all sites remain interconnected securely while each site has its own segregated network
Data sharing: Storage and print systems were integrated into the core system to share data seamlessly but securely
Ancillary systems: CCTV, VoIP, Attendance, Digital Signage were added as sub components to support daily operations
Offsite backup: All business critical data was proposed to be backed up using a cloud automation framework
Versus hours of downtime
Versus no centralized management
Versus manual cross-site data sharing
Versus patchy & manual switchover
NudgeNext has yet again demonstrated technology expertise not just in execution but in understanding the context of our automobile business and designing solutions around them- not just for technology's sake. Security, stability across our locations show the scalability of these IT solutions
